Beat Barn

A first music game for children aged 2 to 6. In a barn full of farm animals, your child plays well-loved songs on real instruments, one tap at a time. No ads, no tracking, and it works offline.

How does it play?

Pick a song on the barn wall. The pad that lights up plays the next note: tap it and the song moves on, at your child's own pace. A ring around the pad shows the beat; tapping in time makes the animals dance. A wrong pad plays its own soft sound, and there is nothing to lose. At the end the band plays the whole song back.

How do I change the instrument?

Tap the round instrument button in the top right corner and pick one of the twelve: xylophone, drum, maracas, piano, bells, harp, guitar, violin, trumpet, flute, tambourine or triangle.

What is free play?

The big xylophone card on the left of the barn wall. Eight rainbow keys, tuned so that every key sounds good with every other; slide a finger across them for a run of notes. The drum button adds a beat. In the full version the red button records up to 30 seconds and the green button plays it back. The recording stays on the device.

Where are the settings?

Tap the small gear in the top right corner of the barn wall and answer the grown-up question. There you can turn sound on or off, show the song titles and choose one or three pads. With one big pad every tap plays the next note, which is easier for the youngest; three pads follow the tune, with low notes on the left and high notes on the right.

What is free, and what does the full version add?

Twinkle Twinkle and Old MacDonald, the xylophone, drum and maracas, and free play are free. One payment opens all 20 songs, all 12 instruments and recording. There is no subscription.
