It is not a monster. Tiny hedgehogs shuffle between pots. Their noses twitch and sniff. Little feet bump the terracotta. Marco writes blue casebook notes.

Waffles rolls onto the shiny trail. His belly gets a silver stripe. Zoe laughs and points down. Look, the trail goes to leaves!

The Patrol builds a little leaf house. They place it in the corner. Mrs. Okoye claps and nods. She sets out fresh water.
Saturday arrives with bright sunshine. The giant sunflower stands straight. A red ribbon hangs proudly. Mrs. Okoye wins and cheers.
Back in the shed, they celebrate. Marco stamps the blue casebook. Zoe says, 'Case closed!' They share cookies and milk.
