Post brings a letter about Elmi, a mountain village in deep snow. Ruby and Captain Vega fly the Skylark to carry cough medicine. The crossing is very cold, but Ruby warms the fuel line. They land in Elmi, deliver the medicine, and share hot spiced milk. Grandmother Asli sews Ruby a new red scarf with tiny balloons. At dusk, Ruby adds a stamp to the journal, and Post sleeps on the burner frame.
