How to fill it in
For “what we did,” distinguish listening from reading. For the last column, write a useful observation rather than a score: “Needed help with two unfamiliar words; try the same page together next time.” Avoid treating time in the app or books completed as proof of independent reading.
Example: Sam’s Silly Hat · one page · listened, then read together · adult helped with an unfamiliar word; return to the page next session.
This is a personal practice record. It is not a formal assessment or a guarantee that you have met local homeschool recordkeeping requirements.
Pair it with the mixed-age reading guide or the example weekly reading plan.
Questions parents ask
Can I print the log without signing up?

Should listening to an audiobook count as independent reading?
Record it as listening. Listening, reading with support and independent reading are different activities; this log has separate checkboxes for them.
